Caleb Ng, MD is a board-certified, fellowship-trained ophthalmologist specializing in vitreoretinal surgery. He brings extensive expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of retinal diseases, including macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal detachments, uveitis, retinal tears and retinal vein occlusion. Dr. Ng’s goal is to ensure that every patient feels heard, valued, and confident that their well-being is his genuine concern. With a gentle approach and the latest medical knowledge, he strives to create a trusting partnership that empowers you to achieve optimal health.

Dr. Ng earned his medical degree from Loma Linda University School of Medicine, where he was recognized for academic excellence as a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. He completed his ophthalmology residency at Loma Linda University and pursued further specialized training with a fellowship in vitreoretinal surgery at West Coast Retina, California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco.

Before joining Pacific Eye Institute, Dr. Ng practiced at Retina Consultants of Orange County, where he provided advanced retinal care across multiple locations. He is an active member of the American Society of Retinal Specialists and the American Academy of Ophthalmology.

Dr. Ng is dedicated to advancing the field of retina through research and has contributed to numerous clinical studies and peer-reviewed publications. He also has a strong commitment to community service, having participated in international ophthalmology mission work and resident education programs.

Outside of medicine, he embraces the challenge of learning golf, finding joy in the process of improvement. When he’s not on the course, he cherishes every moment with his wife and four children, making family time his top priority. A lifelong Lakers fan, he enjoys following the highs and lows of the season. Whether in his practice or personal life, he is passionate about growth, connection, and dedication—values that guide his approach to patient care.
